That runs through your veins,
That clouds your brain,
An empty heart is all that remains.
That’s what it does, that poison called “seriousness”.
It traps you in words, so the world will go past you,
It traps you in thoughts, so that you may never see yourself,
It hardens you, so that you may never laugh at the cosmic joke that’s us.
Slowly, yet effective,
Turns you cold and unaffected,
Let’s you walk this earth distracted,
Leaves you unaware of the pillars of beauty erected.
Don’t forget to fill the world with laughter,
For laughter is recognition – and recognition is Love,
And Love is why we’re here.
